A wise time management is one of the major reasons why a certain business is still running successfully. When you are running a small business like home based handmade jewelry, anticipate many obligations, from producing to selling your items. So a wise time management is a must.

Be organize always, first you want to make sure your working in a tidy area. Untidy workplace is very stressful and a complete waste of time especially when you are looking for something that you can't easily find because of so many things surrounded you. And, you can't find a comfortable area where you can work for a long time. So practice a good habit of keeping your work place tidy by putting your materials and tools in their respective places after using them.

Always be guided by your daily routine. This means, you can automatically work things done with less thinking. To make your daily routine, plan a specific task on a specific day. But, it doesn't mean you can't do other necessary work, but generally, a routine is much easier task and a wise time management.

Build an efficient system in every different task you made. You can make and use a checklist if that helps you, and try to automate whatever task you can. Also, assembling your task can save a lot of time, this means if you can make two or more task at a time the better..

Set up a priority task for a certain day. When you're in a business, you always have jobs you like and jobs you hate to do. However, if the job you like is not necessary for a certain day and the job you hate is the one that is necessary, well you don't have a choice but to prioritize the most important one.

In defeating time waster, think of the ways you can do to convert wasted hours to productive hours. Time wasters like interruptions, distractions, and exhaustion can be defeated easily.

We all know that when working at home, there is always bunch of interruptions like phone calls, e-mails, and visitors. To deal with these cases, let your answering machine answers your phone calls, set a time where you can read and reply all your e-mails, and be able to clear to your friends and families that your working on these certain date and time so that they can't disturb you on your work.

Allocate some hours for basic houseworks that needs to be done. Be careful also in Internet like forums, and other internet related stuff, cause you really need a large time for this.

Your time has a value, the time you invest should be reflected to the price of your items. However, spending sometime with other work you love is also important and satisfies your day without a price.
